Frequently Asked Questions

What is CBD?

Cannabidiol (CBD) is one of the many compounds found in Cannabis sativa L, known collectively as cannabinoids. It is non-psychotropic, meaning it does not cause the “high” associated with marijuana consumption. Researchers have reported benefits such as pain relief, reduced anxiety, nausea reduction and anti-inflammatory properties. Additionally, we are made up of an endocannabinoid system (ECS) that uses cannabinoids produced by our bodies to maintain healthy cells. CBD works to replenish these natural cannabinoids and return our cells to a balanced state.

What is the Endocannabinoid System?

The endocannabinoid system (ECS) can be found in nearly every part of our body - especially the nervous system and immune system. Doctors have found natural cannabinoid compounds and their receptors to exist in virtually every cell and organ system in the human body and have discovered a healthy ECS enables homeostasis. This means balance across the different systems in our body amid changing external conditions. Among other things, the ECS has been shown to help regulate our sleep cycles, our pain and immune response systems, our inflammation response, and even our emotional response to social stimuli.

Will CBD get me “high”?

No. THC is the compound that produces a “high” and all the products we carry contain non-detectable levels of THC.

What are terpenes?

CBD terpenes are oils with terpenes added. They give plants their specific scents. The terpenes in cannabis not only produce a specific aroma, but they contribute to the difference between strains of cannabis.

What is CBD oil?

CBD oil is extracted from cannabis plants that have high levels of cannabidiol (CBD) and low levels of THC. These extracts can then be used in paste form or mixed with other oils such as coconut or hemp seed oil to lower the viscosity of the extract. The cannabidiol (CBD) content of CBD oil varies tremendously, since the manufacturers use a varying assortment of cannabis plants and preparation techniques. We produce CBD oil with a high concentration of CBD and non-detectable THC levels.

Is CBD oil legal?

There is no need for a prescription or medical card to purchase CBD oil. It is a natural constituent of the high-CBD Hemp strains of the plant containing very low levels of THC. Having non-detectable amounts of THC, our CBD oil is non-psychoactive and legal in all 50 states.

What is the best method of use?

For our dietary supplements (capsules and CBD oils), we can only recommend them for internal consumption. If you don’t like the flavor of the oil supplements, you can mix with something sweet like apple sauce or honey to cut through the flavor. Oils are to be taken sublingually and held under your tongue for 60-90 seconds before being swallowed.
